2009 Girls Division – Final Results

Alexis Thompson, 2009Hilton Head Island is known as a great place for families to make memories on vacation. This weekend, it proved to be the place where a brother and sister played memorable rounds of golf and made tournament history by being the first to win the tournament together.

Girl’s division as the winner Alexis Thompson started the day tied in fourth place. Thompson held on with a solid round of +1 for the day and even for the tournament to secure the crystal lighthouse trophy and the girl’s division championship.

The girl’s division also had a 3 hole playoff where Thompson battled it out with Laetitia Beck and won with a bogey on #1 at Harbour Town.

2009 Boys Division – Final Results

Hilton Head Island is known as a great place for families to make memories on vacation. This weekend, it proved to be the place where a brother and sister played memorable rounds of golf and made tournament history by being the first to win the tournament together.

Starting the day tied for third place, Curtis Thompson of Coral Springs, Florida played a strong consistent round plus a three hole playoff to capture the boys’ division championship with a final round score of 70 which helped him finish the tournament at two-under-par.

At the end of regulation play, Thompson was tied with Columbia, SC native Mark Joye at -2.
