Hilton Head Island is known as a great place for families to make memories on vacation. This weekend, it proved to be the place where a brother and sister played memorable rounds of golf and made tournament history by being the first to win the tournament together.
Starting the day tied for third place, Curtis Thompson of Coral Springs, Florida played a strong consistent round plus a three hole playoff to capture the boys’ division championship with a final round score of 70 which helped him finish the tournament at two-under-par.
At the end of regulation play, Thompson was tied with Columbia, SC native Mark Joye at -2.
